Dear DKL: I love LDSelect.org, but...

I love the LDSElect aggregator. I will probably put a link here soon, if Ned says it's OK. I love being able to customize the boxes so I see VNF in Box 1. Yay VNF! I know it's in box 4 as a default, but self-delusion is highly underrated.

I have one teensy problem though. I tried to create a login, and I never was sent a password. I tried to create the login again, and it won't let me, because it says I'm already signed up. This may be true, but a login without a password is entirely useless.

I wouldn't mind so much, because my savings are "remembered" on my main computer, but I use other computers, too. I don't want to have to recustomize them all. Plus, my shameless self-promotion (VNF in Box 1! Huzzah!) has no effect if I'm not logged in when I set it up.

So, dear D., if you would be so kind as to let me know what to do to get my password, I would be pickled tink, as Ned would say.

Ann, check your junk/spam/bulk mail folder. Sometimes, automatically generated email gets classified as spam. I've had emails containing passwords get filtered before, and that's where I usually find them.

I had this same problem when I tried to sign up months ago. I don't think the server is sending the emails correctly.

I will verify that this is a problem as well. The emails aren't being sent, and worse, emails sent to the admin address listed on the site bounce back!

David is entirely too busy talking about himself to get around to fixing things. He is pulling a Microsoft and hoping the new 2.0 version fixes all the bugs. Watch for it!

You don't need to register, at least I haven't needed it. I got my password right away, but I've never used it.

I have multiple computers that I work from, because I'm so high-tech and all, AGB. That's why I would like to be able to register.

I'm sure you got your password on time because you're you.

I don't have any personal spam blockers set up on that account, but my ISP DOES do some filtering that seems to work well on this particular account. I have never had anything I was expecting "go missing" before. I'm sure they've told me in the past how to look at my spam, but I've long since tossed the instructions. Why would I want to look at spam?

I tried to get listed, but my admin email bounced back also.
Several times.

I've had the same problem.

On my LDSelect account, VNF is also in box 1.

Well, I don't know about me being me, dork that I am, but I wish somebody would come to my house and explain to me in English how to use it. I think I'm underutilizing it and it seems like things change all the time. I know I'm missing something.

Thanks for the post, Ann. There's still a few bugs in the 2.0 version that I have to work out, but I haven't had the time. I'll try to get to them by the end of the month so that it's ready for fall.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.
